What 802.11 technologies are supported by the Mobile HM75 Express?

I have a Samsung Series 9 NP900X4C-A07US laptop with the Centrino Advanced-N 6235 adapter installed from the factory.  According to the specifications I was able to locate, this particular laptop has the Mobile HM75 Express chipset.  Does anyone know, or have a link, that describes the 802.11 technologies supported by this chipset?  I'm trying to check off one of many boxes before purchasing and installing an 802.11ac replacement card.

Hello Community.  The company I am working for is starting it's migration to windows 10, however we have limitations that are requiring us to use 32-bit windows on most of our systems.  I cannot seem to locate a driver for the 6th/7th generation I2C controller for 32-bit only 64-bit.  Can anyone advise if this is available and where I can find it.  The system works good otherwise from what I can tell.

Planning Clean Install of Win10FCU and Have Driver Question

Hello,

I own an ASUS G74SX notebook computer circa 2011. I plan to do a clean install of Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, and wondered whether I should hunt down older, compatible drivers from Intel for the 6 Series (HM65 Express) chipset as well as the Rapid Storage Technology? Or, would the default drivers that Windows installs be sufficient (or even more recent/advanced)? Frankly, I don't know if the Intel files would even be compatible with Windows 10 FCU.

Thanks!

due to recent security vulnerabilities it has become necessary to provide updates for the intel management engine and other affected systems.

the question arises wether intel is willing to deploy means to suffice the issue such as downloads for driver and firmware updates.

Intel 82945G express chipset driver needed

Trying to resurrect an old Gateway GT5464 computer and after I got it running, I find it is looking for the Intel 82945G express chip set driver.  Have looked around for several hours and so far haven't found anything that looks close to the driver I need.  Started with Gateway's site to end up with nothing that worked.

I tried to install and run the Intel Drivers & Support Assistant.  It failed.

I am running Windows XP with SP3.   Please don't tell me to upgrade my operating system.  XP runs just fine on all my other computers and programs I use all the time.

Anyone have any ideas?

Jim

Intel 8 chipset locked spi writing;Warning: BIOS region SMM protection is enabled!;Warning: SPI Configuration Lockdown activated.

Hello greetings.

I am looking for information to get unlocked the chipset of an asus motherboard with intel series 8.

I need to understand how to perform a platform reset, sending the pltrst reset signal to remove spi write protections from the chipset.

Programs like typhon burner to do it fails me, like many tutorials and stories.

I leave a part of the flashrom log, when I try to flash firmware, it is not possible, but with no program, even with the bios update program from the motherboard's original desktop gives error, it tells me to make sure mei is installed, But it does not let me urge it, it gives error.

With the afuwingui program I can flasher from the desktop, it looks like it reads, erases, writes, in a drawing, and it looks like a region the bios can not access, I do not know what it is but maybe it could be mei region, Intel management, I do not know, of course, a curious thing happens, the bios image contains mei, but when I save it to the bios, then I look at it with uefi bios update, and it does not have mei.

This is the log that tells me that I have region smm protection enabled, and the spi lockdown activated:

... Warning: BIOS region SMM protection is enabled!

Warning: Setting Bios Control at 0xdc from 0x2a to 0x09 failed.

  New value is 0x2a.

  Warning: SPI Configuration Lockdown activated.

  PROBLEMS, continuing anyway

Found Winbond flash chip "W25Q64.V" (8192 kB, SPI) mapped at physical address 0x00000000ff800000.

Erasing and writing flash chip... Transaction error!

spi_block_erase_20 failed during command execution at address 0x180000

Reading current flash chip contents... done. Looking for another erase function.

spi_block_erase_52 failed during command execution at address 0x180000

Reading current flash chip contents... done. Looking for another erase function.

spi_block_erase_d8 failed during command execution at address 0x180000

  spi_chip_erase_60 failed during command execution

Reading current flash chip contents... done. Looking for another erase function.

  spi_chip_erase_c7 failed during command execution

  Looking for another erase function.

  No usable erase functions left.

  FAILED!

Your flash chip is in an unknown state.

Currently I have got an external programmer willem programer, and I can flasher the bios externally by removing the chip from the spi port, on an asus H81M-C board, I can correctly write the bios, but when I put it on the pc, But it stays with the black screen, then it restarts, then the bios is rewritten with bad code, I can compare the images with a hexadecimal editor, and change the code, because the motherboard upon reboot, modifies the bios with bad code .

What I have done, has been to record the bios with willem programmer, put a block in region 2 of the chip, which is the only one that leaves (although in the pc, deactivates it), and change the chip in hot without turning off, then , Have the pc running a while, and then on reboot, has rebooted clean without modifying both code in the bios, only the header of the firmware.

After doing this, I have been able to install chipset drivers, intel management, and all but the usb 3.0, the official bios update tool from the desktop, it works again, but the main problem persists, I have SMM protections and SPI block  on the motherboard.

On the other hand, comment that I have a rootkit, backdoor, in the firmware of the motherboard, and I suffer, revoked host key, man in the middle atack, dns spoofing, among other attacks.
I can not flash chip lan realtek, to clean, it is locked, and the official tools of the manufacturer do not work, nor any of free software.

Of all this that I speak of the bios that modifies the code, you can see it in quite detail in this post, if you read in detail, you will see that it is spoken of this, later:

Hi,

last week I had my notebook (an ASUS X54H) opened for some screen problems. Now the screen is correctly functioning but none of my USB connections is working. I've done some research on Internet, and try to operate on the Device Management and then the USB Controller, by trying to update drivers and then by uninstalling and re-installing them, but nothing is working. I've also tried the auto detect tools usually proposed by Intel, same story. Any help?

Looking for intel(r) 200 series chipset family thermal subsystem -a2b1

I am looking for a link to intel(r) 200 series chipset family thermal subsystem -a2b1 as it seems to be the only possible solution to the KabyLake PCI Express Root Port #10 problem I have not yet tried. If someone could just make intel and msi find a solution to the problem of which there are many threads already it would save the customers a lot of trouble and time. I am encountering many bluescreens "memory management", critical process died", "page fault in nonpaged area"' among others.

I have tried reinstalling windows, checked all hardware to make sure everything is properly connected, as well as all solutions for the driver issue other than the one stated above.

My specs are:

Intel Core 15-6500 CPU

MSI Tomahawk Arctic 270

AMD Radeon R9 200/HD 7900

Issue upgrading to Windows 10 with ICH10R chipset. RAID array and BD drive disappear. Strange fix.

I recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10.  MS scan said everything should go fine, and it did, except the default Windows 10 Intel drivers for Rapid Storage cause my Blu Ray drive and mirrored RAID array to disappear.

I have an ASUS Rampage Formula III motherboard with an ICH10R Intel chipset.  It also has a Marvell SATA6 controller.

Drive layout is:

1 x Samsung EVO850 SSD as primary OS drive on Marvell controller

2 x WD 1 TB Black drives, mirrored array on Intel controller

1 x LG Blu Ray disk drive

After the upgrade, major freeze problems and the Western Digital array and cd drive are not in Device Manager.  Both show up in BIOS.  Both show up if I restore Windows 7.  I tried both Intel Rapid Storage versions available for Windows 10 with no success:  14.6 and 14.8.  Actually the software installs successfully, but the drives are gone on reboot.

One thing I tried after reading online was to use an older "iaStorA.sys" and "iaStorF.sys" file from an older version of Rapid Storage (v13.6).  After manually copying over those to files to c:\windows\system32\drivers, my drives appeared again on reboot and all appears well.

WTF?

Is Intel going to fix this?  This is a board with an i7 processor that does NOT need upgraded.  Why the lack of backwards compatibility with a still relevant board?

C600 series chipset RAID contoller incompatibility with Windows 10 update. Is there an updated driver or should I unistall?

Need help with this problem,  My machine was custom made when Windows 7 was hot and have upgraded to Windows 10 Pro.  The C600 is not compatible with W-10 and will not allow the update to install.

Currently, I do not have any additional IDE drives in the machine.

Would it be save to uninstall the C600 RAID chipsets without bricking my machine?

Thank you in advance.

Intel RST problem

Hello, I may have a big RAID 1 problem and need advice.  I wanted to get rid of my RAID setup which is two 2TB drives with 300GB as a RAID 0 array and the remaining as a RAID 1 array.  I did research beforehand and read numerous places that when a RAID 1 array is reset to non-raid disks in the RST boot screen you end up with two identical disks with each having a working copy of the data.  Just what I wanted so I did that.  But when I went back into Windows 10 afterwards Disk Management says the disks need to be Initialized.  Is this correct?  I did not see it mentioned in the posts I read before in my preparation.  I stopped there as I would like to get confirmation that Initializing the disk is the next step.   If not then what should my next step be.  Thank you in advance.

Intel RST installation incorrectly sets hard drive media type Windows 8.1 Pro x64

$

Hope someone can help me here.

After a fresh install of Windows 8.1 Pro my media type is correctly set under the analyse and optimise function. This is using the in box drivers of Windows 8.1. When I install the latest RST and update the RAID drivers, the media type changes to SSD which is incorrect. The analyse and optimise buttons are now greyed out and I can no longer defrag the hard drives.

I have taken many steps to try and correct this issue but still no luck. The BIOS is set to UEFI and it correctly identifies the HDD. I have also used the F6 driver installation of the latest RAID driver during the Windows install. Media type is still set to SSD.

Intel RST status correctly states that SATA HDD are connected. So is it a Windows problem?

Very frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

Surely Im not the only person in the world with this problem.

Kind Regards

Intel Turbo Boost Technology applicaiton window

Hi

I have a windows 10 machine with an I7 6950X CPU.  I used the Turbo boost application for two years it worked really well. About 4 months ago, there was a windows update.  Now, when my PC starts, the Turbo boost application configuration window opens and I have to close it. I have tried re-installing the application and I have the latest version. 1.0.22 and 1.0.0.1033.  Is a patch in the works or an updated version that addresses this issue?  Thanks -Bill

ACPI\ACPI0012 device identification ?

$

Hello,

Haswell motherboard(not Intels), windows7 OS.

(I will ask motherboard manufacturer support - but maybe I'll get quick answer here )

After updating to new uefi version, "Unknown device" appears which hardware ids are "ACPI\ACPI0012". All device drivers were fine before update(chipset, etc.), reinstalling chipset drivers didn't help. I suspect that this device could be because some new feature(xeon cpu feature?) was enabled after update.

What device hardware id ACPI\ACPI0012 represents ?

How do I find drivers for it ?

Thanks,

Vilius M.
