Bonjour

Je suis sous Windows 10 version 1607   -  14393.1715 . Sur un ordinateur portable. DELL XPS M1730

Can't extract Integrated Sensor Hub driver?

I am setting up a bunch of Dell Inspiron 13-5378 2-in-1 laptops to be imaged with Windows 10 via Windows Deployment Services.

I can load all the Dell drivers for this laptop into the WDS automatic driver installation mechanism, except for the Intel Integrated Sensor Hub. In order to install a driver into WDS, it needs to have an *.INF. The Integrated Sensor Hub does not have an exposed *.INF....

01/04/2017  11:40 AM            22,570 MUP.xml

01/16/2017  02:49 AM            20,588 package.xml

10/14/2016  03:58 AM        18,403,304 SetupISS.exe

04/01/2016  02:00 AM             3,484 WiXLicenseNote.txt

               4 File(s)     18,449,946 bytes

And the setup program does not offer any way to extract the SetupISS.exe installer.

SetupISS.exe /?

intel integrated sensor setup options.png

I can extract this executable using 7-Zip, but then I just get a pile of raw data files without names that mean anything.

intel integrated sensor 7-zip extract.png

I try to open these various files with Notepad++, and I can see suggestions of file names. Looks like file "u8" is "bootstrapper.dll"...

Intel.Deployment.Bootstrapper Intel Corporation; (Intel.Deployment.Bootstrapper.IIFCoreApp   FileVersion1.1.0.0D InternalNameBootstrapper.dll OriginalFilenameBootstrapper.dll ProductNameIntel.Deployment.Bootstrapper4 ProductVersion1.1.0.08 Assembly Version1.1.0.0

But I can't sort through this mess manually, so it looks like I just won't be installing the Integrated Sensor Hub on these laptops. I hope it wasn't important.

Why is Intel not providing any normal way to extract this installer?

10 seconds timeout of USB 3.0 Controller(I/O Cancel Problem)

I am Hyosung's system software engineer.

Hyosung manufactures ATMs. In ATM, many devices are connected to the host via USB.

and many other ATM manufacturers also use USB to connect hosts and devices (card readers, cash dispensers, PinPad, NFC, etc.)

Recently, we are serious with USB communication problem.

our ATM uses various USB controllers. However, the problem only occurs with the following Host Controller.

- PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9D2F&SUBSYS_02331854&REV_21

- PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_8C31&SUBSYS_1993103C&REV_04

- Driver: date- 2017-03-28, Version: 5.0.3.42

we performed the control communication and the setup packet is "C0 49 00 00 00 00 01 00".

when our device receives this Control setup packet, it performs the operation for about 15 seconds and then returns the response to the Host.

however, when using the above mentioned usb controller for control communication, the usb communication is always stopped after 10 seconds

(maybe, i think that the controller or driver is canceling the i/o)

except for control communication, bulk communication is normal.

I informed the Intel branch in Korea of this problem. and i was advised to ask for help on this forum.

this problem is a very serious problem in ATM operation.

I hope many developers will help to solve this problem.

If you need anything to solve your problem, ask me.

Thank you.

I am in need of a driver for Intel Trusted Execution Engine Interface for an HP laptop. (Windows 10 64 bit OS)

The model of the HP laptop is:

15-F039WM

The HP product number is J8X12UAR#ABA

The hardware ID for the device driver is PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0F18&SUBSYS_21DE103C&REV_0E\3&11583659&0&D0.

I contacted HP about this - they provided a link to a driver but after installing it I receive the following error:

intel error.JPG

Device requires further installation?

Can someone at intel help me find the correct software for this?

Thanks!

Series 4 Chipset Driver for DEV_2E17

Hi, I am restoring a machine after a critical software failure and have one last driver I am trying to track down. It's showing up in Device Manager as PCI Serial Port and is identifying itself as DEV_2E17. I have already installed the Intel Management Engine Driver for Series 4 Chipset-Based Desktop Boards and that did solve one of the missing drivers but not this one, sadly. Also tried the INF update utility with no success. Anyway, does anyone know what this device actually is?

Quick note before someone tells me to use Intel's automatic driver update application, this machine is not on our corporate network and cannot be put on our corporate network. It's utterly isolated from the internet.

Intel C602 SATA Port Multiplier Support

Hello,

I'm trying to find out if the SATA III 6Gbps ports (#1 & #2) on the Intel C602 are capable of SATA port multiplier support? Currently, only drive #1 powers up on the port multiplier indicating that its not supported.

Is it a firmware or hardware issue? If firmware, any chance of an update featuring support?

Hard drives will not spin down or sleep after 10 mins, Windows 10 / Intel RST issue

I'm having storage / backup crisis as my PC only have 2 ssd running in RAID 0 and no other drives for backups. I have setup up the drives mode as RAID in the bios and have the latest bios, drivers for the motherboard chip set and Intel rapid storage technology

Today I have picked up 2 Seagate 2TB HDDS for backup proposes and setup them up in RAID 1 and after configuring the drives. I cannot have the drives to turn off after 10mins but the drives are still spinning as the drives are unused and in idle state.

The reason why i would like to have the drives turned off when not using is because they are noisy but not faulty by any mean but the NZXT H440 does a poor job keeping the noise down.

Windows 10 having problems keeping the drives into sleep mode, I have tried reinstalling the drivers but no success even disabling windows index search thing.

Windows 7 never had any problems with the drives going to stand by.

I had no idea whats the fix for this as I have searched for hours for solutions.

Windows 10 Intel usb 3.0 eXtensible host controller driver does not work properly

$

Hi!

I am having problems with my usb ports on my laptop which has Windows 10 installed.

I upgraded to Windows 10 a couple of years ago, and at first all of my usb ports worked like a charm. But then somehow the native Intel extensible host controller got replaced with the Microsoft one. And now only one of three usb ports work (and only if I have something connected to that usb port upon turning on the laptop).

I really need to force install the Intel extensible host controller Windows 7 driver to get it to work, but when I try to force install it my laptop blue screens and restarts.

I have read about others having this exact problem, and other forums have suggested to install a modified version of the driver from here Forum - USB 3.0/3.1 Drivers (original and modded) . I have tried that solution, but it didn't work...

I have tried to contact Microsofts support about this problem, but they said that I should contact Intel support instead.

So I'm being sent back and forth between the to companies because no one is willing to help me solve this problem.

Should I just accept that I can not use all of my USB ports anymore? Or does someone here have the knowledge to how to get them working again?

Steps I have done so far:

- Uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers multiple times.

- Tried to force install the Intels extensible host controller Windows 7 drivers in compatibility mode (they were installed and worked until recently).

- Tried to install modified drivers.

- Sent my laptop to a local computer service company that couldn't solve it either.

Any help to solving this is much appreciated. My chipset is a Intel® 7 Series Chipsets/Intel® C216 Chipset

I really hope that I don't need to buy a new laptop just because Intel won't provide working drivers to their products...

Legacy Chipset Installation Package

Hello

Can someone point me in the right direction for download and backlog for Notebook Legacy chipsets - 10.1.1.38 and below.

Similar to something like this

https://downloadmirror.intel.com/20775/eng/ReleaseNotes%2010.1.1.42.htm

I have found a Chipset download page - but it's all to do with the NUC products - if these are the ones Notebook/Laptops are meant to use - can the Web Admins add it to the correct category for Search results as well?

I'm trying to debug a broad range of issues at the moment - so I'm trying to categorize each package - and cross reference what the Microsoft Download Catalog is pushing devices.

Thanks

intel management engine interface slow restart

$

Since repairs to my XPS 8700 carried out by Dell (including the replacement of the motherboard) and the reloading of windows 10, I have been experiencing very long restart times taking on average 110 seconds from hitting the restart button to the screen coming back up (it is the restart not the shutdown that is taking the time). This is only on restart and not when the machine boots up from being off. Whilst investigating this problem I came across an error in device manager where, under “system Devices” there is a yellow exclamation mark next to Intel Management Engine Interface. On double clicking the device status is “This device cannot start. (Code 10) STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE” The driver is listed as Intel 07/07/2015 Version: 11.0.0.1157. As per Dell’s instructions I have updated the Management Engine drivers, confirmed that I have the latest version of the BIOS and finally I have reinstalled the ME drivers. All Dell drivers including the chipset drivers are up to date.

I have discovered that if I disable the Intel Management Engine Interface (device manager - Intel Management Engine Interface - right click - disable) the restart times are acceptable at about 30 seconds or less.

Yesterday Dell took control of my PC and spent an hour or so redoing all the actions I had already taken and finally thought it might be another faulty motherboard. At that point they decided the Motherboard needed replacing. After review they have now reneged on that position and want me to reinstall Windows 10 again. I want to avoid this at all cost (I have four custom profiles on this PC and have spent untold hours recovering from the last Windows 10 reinstall) in any case I have been experiencing this problem since the installation of the new motherboard which included a clean install of windows at that time, making me believe that it is not a software issue.

I would like to know:

a) Whether this is likely to be a software or hardware fault and if it is a software problem if there is anything beyond what I have done already to remedy it.

b) What exactly is the purpose/role of Intel Management Engine Interface? Dell has not been very forthcoming and it’s not really clear to me from my background reading either.

c) What are the consequences/repercussions of leaving it permanently disabled; what will I be missing out on; why do, or might I need it?

Wrong CSME 11.8.50.3399 firmware WCOD hashes

$

Hello,

I noticed that the Corporate SKU of CSME v11.8.50.3399 has certain wrong SHA-256 hashes at partitions "WCOD with Instance ID 0x24F3" and "WCOD with Instance ID 0x24FD". Specifically, the hashes are wrong for modules "mu_d0d3", "mu_init" and "umac_d0". It seems that the actual module data/code are identical those found at the Corporate SKU of CSME v11.7.0.3290 and in that firmware, their hashes also check out. Since the RSA Signatures of the two WCOD partitions at v11.8.50.3399 do check out, either the modules are proper but their hashes are wrong or new modules were inserted but you forgot to update their hashes.

KabyLake PCI Express Root Port #10 - A2B1 driver on MSI 270 Tomahawk

Hello support Intel.

I recently acquired an I7-7700K as well as a motherboard MSI Z270 TOMAHAWK. In my device manager, the A2B1 controller has a problem:

"Device status.
Windows can not load the necessary drivers. The device does not work properly. (Code 31)
The specified request is not a valid operation for the target device."

Can I find out what this controller is all about and how to fix it? Windows 10 was installed the last week and all my drivers are up to date.

Attached is the report created by "Intel System Support Utility".

Waiting for your answer, Natalino.

I am new to the community recently purchasing a Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2 GHz with MSI Intel Z270 Gaming M3 Motherboard.

The Device Performance & Health monitor is giving me the same problem as stated above - KabyLake PCI Express Root Port #10 - A2B1.

I have installed the following: MSI Command Centre Intel(R) Driver and Support Assistant Both of which are coming up with nothing and ultimately all drivers are up to date.

I have also installed the latest BIOS.

This is where I turn to yourself and ask for advice on what to try next in layman's terms please.

Hi All,

What exactly should be done to initialize southbridge ICH6-M in AHCI mode? (I suppose that's what BIOS does every time before handing control over to OS)

Many thanks in advance!
