Unable to install XTU

I'm trying to install XTU and keep getting the error that I need to "verify I have sufficient privileges to install system services." I have a Gigabyte Aorus Z270X Gaming 7 motherboard and an i7 7700k. Thanks in advance for any help.

Help, Iris graphic 540 driver + black screen

Hi,

 

Since two days now, my XPS13 9530 fails at boot due to the chipset's driver. Indeed i can see the dell logo at boot but right when windows loads the screen become black and i can't do anything. I succeeded to boot on safe mode and disabled the graphic drivers so i was able to boot on normal mode. I also already updated the bios and the last drivers for the Iris graphic 540 (v 21.20.16.4590) but the same issue percist : Right when i enable or update the driver the screen become black...

 

This is what i installed : Télécharger Pilote Intel® GMA pour Windows * [15.45]

 

I am pretty sure that it is a sofware and not hardware issue, but can anybody confirm ?

 

What can i do ? do you have any solutions ?

Storage controller driver needed for a Samsung laptop which has a HM76 Express chipset

Hello

 

I need a storage controller driver for my Samsung NP740U3E-S04UK laptop which has a HM76 Express chipset (I think).

 

Background:
I am trying to do a clean install of Windows 10 Pro x64 on a Samsung NP740U3E-S04UK laptop.

The original 128GB SSD was too small, so I got someone to replace it with at 512GB mSATA Samsung (PM841 Series MZMTD512HAGL-00000 mSATA 512GB SATA III MLC Internal SSD). Eventually I upgraded my Window 8 to Windows 10. Unfortunately Windows 10 eventually became corrupted.

 

I have used MediaCreationTool to created a Windows 10 recovery disk on a memory stick, but although Windows Setup runs off the memory stick, Windows now can't see my SSD(!)

I can get a command prompt, but when I tried downloading Minitool Partition Wizard but it won't run.

 

I am told that I need a storage controller driver for my motherboard.

 

Can anyone help?

Good day!

I have motherboars Asrock G41M-VS3 R2.0, processor Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 and OS Windows 10 64-bit.

I try update chipset of wy proc with Intel Driver Update Utility (ver. 2.7.2.4). This prog reports me what I have installed version 10.0.14393.594 and need to update for version 10.1.1.14. But procces of updating terminate with error unknown (see logs bellow). What can I do for correct updating of my chipset?

KabyLake PCI Express Root Port #10

I am using 7700K this time.

The main board is Asrock Fatality Gaming K6

The OS is Windows 10 Home.

But in Device Manager, there is an exclamation point.

So if you look


"KabyLake PCI Express Root Port # 10 - A2b1" This is the message."

So if you look at properties


"The device does not work properly because Windows can not load the required driver (code 31).

The specified request is an invalid operation on the target device. "

I get this message.

How does this exclamation disappear?

Is there no problem without using this?

 

I've reinstalled Windows several times to fix this.

 

But it did not work out.

I want you to solve it.

Intel NM10/ICH7 Support Recording?

Does Intel NM10/ICH7 Family High Definition Audio Controller support Recording? Dell Inspiron E1705. This model has the Intel NM10/ICH7 audio and Sigmatel Audio hardware. Under XP media center, it will not record sound unless the sigmatel hardware has drivers installed. I now have Linuxmint 18 32bit installed. It's Pulse Audio Control indicates mic input is coming in from a usb audio port replicator, but Audacity and Audio Recorder do not indicate any input. from any source. Does the Intel NM10/ICH7 audio controller have the ability to handle recording?

Cannot Install Driver Update Utility

I need to update the chipset driver on my machine, but each time i try to install the Intel Driver Update Utility i recieve an error stating "IntelProductImprovementProgramInstaller.msi" cannot be located at the following location: C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\{B9FD2F32-B6ED-477A-98A3-380720F1B553}v2.1.28.3\

 

I've installed, and uninstalled this driver update utilisty many time, without issue.. so this is a bit strange.

 

I have attached the log, if that helps.

Creation of Raid-1 throws SSI Status: Invalid State

Trying to build a Raid-1 off the System drive (Sata port 0 and 1) preserving the data. Failing with error msg in event log:

what are PCIe cards Thunderbolt compatibility requirements?

Hi,

i hope to find here a solution. i am new to the Thunderbolt environment.

We develop a product that communicate the with the PC (Windows) through PCIe GEN2 x4 lanes.

our customers demands that we use a Thunderbolt interface instead. so yo verify that we bought the SONNET Echo Express SEI Thunderbolt 3 system- Sonnet - Echo Express SE I Thunderbolt 3 Edition PCIe Card Expansion System  in order to connect our product to a PC.

When we connect our product to the PC , it works but when we try to use the Thunderbolt echo system the PC doesn’t recognize it (we don’t see it on the PC device manager).

i assume that it is a driver missing or some handshake between the PCIe and the Thunderbolt device in the SONNET system issue.

I saw that we need Thunderbolt compatibility such “the card driver must enable the correct card ID to be recognized over Thunderbolt”- how do we achieve that? What should we do?

anyone have an idea?

i updated the Windows updates, BIOS updates to latest.

we use DELL T7810 PC.

Linux support for HSUART

Hello,

 

I'm using an Atom™ Processor E3800 Series System-on-Chip module which has 2 HSUARTs directly from the CPU.

 

I want to run vanilla 4.1.13 on this CPU.

 

Currently I'm using the X86_64 defconfig and only one UART is configured. This is probably not the HSUART but a legacy one.

 

Can you tell what component should be added to the kernel configuration ?

HDD click (excessive load-unload cycles)

Two of my HDDs are clicking and have an excessive load-unload cycles.

 

I'm running 2x Samsung F3 1TB (HD103SJ) in RAID-0 using Z97 chipset Sata 3 ports.

 

My MB is a ASRock Z97 Extreme6, HDDs firmware is 1AJ10001. MB Bios is P1.33.

 

I had 13.1.0.1058 RST driver and installed 12.9.2.1000 but the issue persisted.

 

I have Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit running on a Samsung 830 Series 256GB SSD, I also have two more HDDs, one Seagate 3TB and one Toshiba 160GB... No issues with these drives.

 

On my previous setup I was using these HDDs on a X58 chipset Sata 2 ports, also in RAID-0 mode, Intel RST 11 and got no issues.

 

I think the drives are going idle too fast, because when I need to open or seek for something on the drive, the click starts.

 

I don't know if this is a BIOS problem or a Intel RST problem, I don't know for sure, but when the computer starts, during post I can hear the click (only once, if I go to UEFI there is no click there and the drive is detected by BIOS).

 

I tried some troubleshoots, configured (advanced power management, automatic acoustic management, sata aggressive link power management, windows power management) but nothing worked : (

 

I'm kinda desperate because I have one "click" each 10 seconds (approximately), it means 3600 load-unload cycles in 10 hours!

 

For now I made the disks off-line through Windows disk management, until I figure out some solution/workaround.

 

I appreciate any help you can give!

 

UPDATE!

 

The problem was solved by installing Intel RST 12 series drivers, power off, disconnect the PSU cable, connect the affected hard drives on another Z97 Sata port and power on the computer.

 

If I install Intel RST 13 series driver the issue will return, is this a bug with RST 13 series? I don't think my HDD spending one load/unload cycle each 10 seconds is normal.

Running Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant on my Dell Precision T7600, update process runs, downloads and then fails on this screen:

 

 

Odd because this same system has been running Windows 10 Anniversary Update with no issues.

 

Anyone have any ideas?

I installed chipset intel but forgot to restart my PC, will that lead to unstability/bugs/worse productivity/bad outcome later?

So once I re-installed Windows 7 64 bit professional, I decided to instal chipset intel of course, but I accidently forgot to restart my PC and install audio realtek azalia drivers instead... The mere fact I forgot to restart my PC after installing intel, would that cause some fundomental bugs or overal worse compatability or worse productivity or a few percent worse working capacity, or some other unfortunate outcome that I might discover later?

I really hope I'm just overreacting over absolutely nothing, but I prefer be sure anyway.
