Recover RAID-5 created on ICH10R
Hello,
I have a mobo ASUS P6X58D Premium with Intel ICH10R RAID controller. I have created a RAID-5 volume on it with 4x1.5 TB Samsung drives. My mobo failed yesterday. Can you help me on which supported Intel controllers I can recover the array, as I will have to buy a new mobo and move the drives there?

Is this update (10.1.1.38) causing my problem? Can it be removed?
I have been battling this bizarre problem for over a month, and after lots of detective-work, I now suspect a Windows Update from last January to be the cause.
Briefly, since about a month ago, I suddenly can no longer Shutdown/Reboot from Windows (I must use the buttons on my PC to complete the task.) Note, problem does not occur in Safe Mode or Linux.
I've found that if I disable the driver for my video card (GTX670 in a PCIe slot) or ONE particular driver related to my TV tuner (ATI HDTV Wonder in a PCI slot), everything works fine again. But neither (obviously) is a permanent solution.
With some more experimenting, I discovered that if I rollback one or both of a particular Intel Device driver, I can Shutdown/Reboot ONCE. And upon returning, if I put BACK those drivers, I can Shutdown/Reboot ONCE one time more. Extremely odd.
Checking my "Windows Update" History, this particular update (INTEL - System - 10/3/2016 12:00:00 AM - 10.1.1.38) is the last hardware related update installed back in January. There is no KB number, no information on what changes it made, and no info on how to undo it (as I mentioned, rolling back the driver only helps one time.)
Does anyone know what changes this update makes and how to undo them?

Driver for controller with hardware device ID 8C31 failed. Unable to resolve error.

Can anyone help resolve this issue? Device Manager shows "Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller" listed under "Other devices" with a warning "There is no driver selected for the device information set or element." I uninstalled it and ran "scan for new hardware". System reinstalled it with same error message. Tried "update driver" and that failed. Right-clicked on device name > Properties:

I have problems installing drivers. Via Intell driver update utility i was trying to update, but it failed. I found this discussion Intel Chipset Device Software installation fails through Intel Driver Update Utility and found the proper foulder, but there were no "Install" line
Also, when im trying to install intel management engine interface driver via Alienware Support Assist software its not installing.
Any suggestions?

How to test a mainboard and BIOS about Intel VT

I bought a Lenovo TS150 70LV003KEA

with Xeon E3-1225 v5.
The mainbaord has a chipset C236 from Intel and seems to be manufactured by Micro Star International (MSI). BIOS seems to be from AMI.
How to thoroughly know and test if not only the Xeon E3-1225 v5 but also board and BIOS really and fully support VT-x and VT-d? All kind of Intel Virtualization Technologies?
Is there a test suite from Intel somewhere available? What does Intel recommend?
There is no information available from Lenovo about VT-x and VT-d for Lenovo TS150 70LV003KEA. Nothing mentionned in specs etc. Support doesn't know.
The BIOS has no entries to enable/disable VT-x and VT-d.
Please provide a solution for testing all available Intel Virtualization Technologies on systems.

Help, Iris graphic 540 driver + black screen
Hi,
Since two days now, my XPS13 9530 fails at boot due to the chipset's driver. Indeed i can see the dell logo at boot but right when windows loads the screen become black and i can't do anything. I succeeded to boot on safe mode and disabled the graphic drivers so i was able to boot on normal mode. I also already updated the bios and the last drivers for the Iris graphic 540 (v 21.20.16.4590) but the same issue percist : Right when i enable or update the driver the screen become black...
This is what i installed : Télécharger Pilote Intel® GMA pour Windows * [15.45]
I am pretty sure that it is a sofware and not hardware issue, but can anybody confirm ?
What can i do ? do you have any solutions ?

Generic Drivers for Intel Z3740 CPU?
Hello there,
I know that the Z3740 (and other Z3700 Series) drivers should be provided by the manufacturer of the tablet device, however I have (or well, had) a Toshiba WT8-A tablet with non working audio since the Anniversary update and Toshiba fails to provide proper, working drivers for this tablet.
Well, the device is now unsupported it seems and Toshiba won't bring new drivers out anymore. But the funny thing is: Their device is locked to 32bit even tho it says 64bit capable, and guess what... They only provide Windows 10 64bit drivers on their site...
Anyways, is there any way to obtain "generic" Z3700 Series (or specifically Z3740) drives for this case? I can't find them anywhere, only Lenovo ones which do fix the audio problem but these don't appear to be the most up-to-date ones.

KabyLake PCI Express Root Port #10
I am using 7700K this time.
The main board is Asrock Fatality Gaming K6
The OS is Windows 10 Home.
But in Device Manager, there is an exclamation point.
So if you look

So if you look at properties
"The device does not work properly because Windows can not load the required driver (code 31).

I get this message.
How does this exclamation disappear?
Is there no problem without using this?
I've reinstalled Windows several times to fix this.
But it did not work out.
I want you to solve it.

I am looking for information to get unlocked the chipset of an asus motherboard with intel series 8.
I need to understand how to perform a platform reset, sending the pltrst reset signal to remove spi write protections from the chipset.
Programs like typhon burner to do it fails me, like many tutorials and stories.
I leave a part of the flashrom log, when I try to flash firmware, it is not possible, but with no program, even with the bios update program from the motherboard's original desktop gives error, it tells me to make sure mei is installed, But it does not let me urge it, it gives error.
With the afuwingui program I can flasher from the desktop, it looks like it reads, erases, writes, in a drawing, and it looks like a region the bios can not access, I do not know what it is but maybe it could be mei region, Intel management, I do not know, of course, a curious thing happens, the bios image contains mei, but when I save it to the bios, then I look at it with uefi bios update, and it does not have mei.
This is the log that tells me that I have region smm protection enabled, and the spi lockdown activated:

Currently I have got an external programmer willem programer, and I can flasher the bios externally by removing the chip from the spi port, on an asus H81M-C board, I can correctly write the bios, but when I put it on the pc, But it stays with the black screen, then it restarts, then the bios is rewritten with bad code, I can compare the images with a hexadecimal editor, and change the code, because the motherboard upon reboot, modifies the bios with bad code .
What I have done, has been to record the bios with willem programmer, put a block in region 2 of the chip, which is the only one that leaves (although in the pc, deactivates it), and change the chip in hot without turning off, then , Have the pc running a while, and then on reboot, has rebooted clean without modifying both code in the bios, only the header of the firmware.
After doing this, I have been able to install chipset drivers, intel management, and all but the usb 3.0, the official bios update tool from the desktop, it works again, but the main problem persists, I have SMM protections and SPI block on the motherboard.
On the other hand, comment that I have a rootkit, backdoor, in the firmware of the motherboard, and I suffer, revoked host key, man in the middle atack, dns spoofing, among other attacks.
I can not flash chip lan realtek, to clean, it is locked, and the official tools of the manufacturer do not work, nor any of free software.

Chipset won't install
I can't get my chipset to install
I have a Panasonic CF-31, with windows 10 Pro
I called panasonic, and they told me to use the intel driver update utility.
The update utility said I need intel chipset device Software
Installed version 9.1.9.10
Latest version 10.1.1.1
I download and install it, but it comes back with Unknown Error.
I have attached the log files, and the system information file for your convenience.

Asrock Z170A-X1/3.1 with i5-7500
Building a PC (all brand new parts) with Asrock Z170A-X1/3.1 with i5-7500. All cabling is connected as well as RAM (G. SKILL Ripjaws V-series DDR4--2X8 GB-- 3200) . When turning the PC on, it will not go to POST. I have read, during many hours in front of my laptop, that this CPU will need the latest BIOS in order to work; whether this is true, ???. My problem, of course, is that I can't get the latest BIOS since this CPU needs it to POST.
Assuming that the above is correct, is there a way to install the latest BIOS without changing out the CPU or motherboard? If change is needed, what part(s) do I need to change?
Of course, if all of this is incorrect, what can it be?

Matrix Storage Manager- Win 10 update - driver failed to load
Hi
I have just updated from windows 7 to 10 ( beginning to wish I had not)
My storage controller is Intel(R) Desktop/Workstation/Server Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller
My Processors are 2 x Intel(R) Core(TM)2cpu 6300 @ 1.86GHz
My Disk Drives are indicated in Device Manager as Intel Raid 1 Volume
The Raid Volume has operated perfectly well as a Raid level 1 mirror until update
At Boot the Raid indicates status as Verify
When I try to start up the Intel Matrix Storage Manager Consul I get the error message-
'Raid plug-in failed to load because the driver is not installed correctly'
I have tried to update drivers via device manager to be advised driver is up to date
I have tried to update drivers automatically via the Intel Download Centre but this fails to detect any drivers
I have downloaded f6flpy-x86.zip from the Intel Download Centre but am not certain this is appropriate for the Matrix Storage controller
but if it is I do not know how to install it.
Please can some one advise me - how can I resolve?
