Driver and Support Assistant does not Install
I was surprised to find out there is no canonical support for this tool, the error message does not suggest any feedback email or URL, and it is missing from the support page for software products, as far as I can see. Anyway, I recently installed the huge Windows 10 update and my PC should be as good as new, but the installer crashes, pointing to this log, any ideas?

About Intel Z series chipset
I know that only Z series chipset will work for Coffee Lake CPU at the moment. But will any new series come anytime soon, for specific only Coffee Lake support.

SMBus drivers not found by windows and manufacturers install fails to run
After clean install of Windows 8.1 on an HP laptop model 14-n13sa, SMBus appears as ? in device manager along with another 'unknown device'
Attempted to instal chipset drivers from HP driver pages (immediately after OS install as instructed) but driver install fails with this dialog:
And yes it was run from admin account..
In the read-me there are instructions for installing .inf files which are completely inconsistent with the files on the disc and cannot be followed. Not to mention that one should not have to manaually install .inf files in this way?
How do I resolve the SMBus driver .inf install on this machine??
I have installed and run the Intel driver and support assistant which did not even mention the SMBus issue. No help there.

C216 USB Enhanced Host Controller updates?
I use DriverDoc, and it tells me that my "Interl(R) 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 1E26 and 1E2D" is out of date. My current version is Intel 9.3.0.1011, but DriverDoc shows that the new version is 9.3.0.1028. Where may I download Version 9.3.0.1028? Thank you.
P.S. My computer (OS is Windows 7) is encountering Usbser.sys crashes, so I am trying to update the drivers.

Correct Intel RST for C232 chipset
I have searched the internet for the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) User Interface and Driver for C232 chipset in my Supermicro X11SSL-F motherboard. I tried install the latest Version:16.0.2.1086 and it will not install showing "Chipset not supported".
Where can I download the RST for the C232 chipset.

Intel Rapid Storage, hidden partition and RAID setting
My system: Asus K501UX, laptop Windows 10 Pro 64bit, Series 100 chipset Skylake-U.
Excuse me if I misunderstand this issue, I reinstalled Windows and the system automatically created a hidden partition of 499MB which looks like a designated drive to use for a RAID configuration.
The Bios automatically set the RAID option, also it was like that prior of the OS installation and when restoring it still sets the RAID option.
The Asus drivers download page (for this specific laptop) has this Intel Rapid Storage driver so what should I do now?
Should I install the drivers? And if not, what is the purpose for the hidden partition, is something Windows 10 needs?

Intel 8 Series/C220 Series Chipset - Using USB 2.0 (EHCI ) and 3.0 (xHCI ) controllers in parallel
Hi,
in our Dell Optiplex X"2 PCs we have the "Intel 8 Series/C220 Series Chipset", which has according to data-sheet:
- 1. Two USB 2.0 controllers, more exactelly: USB EHCI Host Controllers (D29:F0 and D26:F0)
- 2. and one USB 3.0 Controller: xHCI Controller (D20:F0)
We uses the PC in a high sensible area "medical devices", where we require to have a stable USB connection to one USB device (medical device). A stable connection to other devices like USB-Flash or Printer is not required. So the original decision was to use one USB 2.0 controller just for the medical device and connect other devices (USB-Flash etc) to the other controller. On that way we would have one dedicated USB Controller for the medical device.
Now we have noticed that, when USB 3.0 support is activated, the two USB 2.0 Controllers (EHCI) seems not be used. Everything is connected over the USB 3.0 (xHCI Controller). Verified under windows device manager (Parent of an USB device)
As operation system we have Windows 10 and uses the Intel Chipset driver provided by dell (Version: 10.1.1.7 ,A00)
Question: Is there a way to use USB 2.0 Controller and USB 3.0 Controller in parallel. Or do we need (specified by chipset) to deactivate USB 3.0 support, to have two USB 2.0 controllers being working?

Intel ME and INF drivers for Asrock Z370 Extreme4 worse than originals for FPS gaming.
Whoever is writing these drivers is doing a terrible job. I've found the updated drivers add lag to the mouse, then I reverted back to the old ones, the mouse is more responsive and feels very light.
This isn't the first time this has happened. The Z77 Extreme4 had the same problem.
Why update the drivers if they're worse than the orginal drivers on the CD?
I'd complain to Asrock but they get the drivers from Intel.
I uninstalled the drivers and the bios shows the driver I uninstalled still in the BIOS.

Intel® R1304WT2GSR can't find RAID drivers

Intel® R1304WT2GSR with Adaptec RAID 8405E controller. Can't install Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2. Do not find RAID drivers.
Tried to use Intel® RSTe AHCI & SCU Software RAID Driver для Windows* (RSTe_and_AHCI_Win_Drivers_GUI_CLI_CIM_4.6.0.1085.zip) - does not help.
What drivers should I use?

Why does DSA ask to update graphics driver on Surface pro 4 when driver install advises device not supported?
DSA wants to update Intel AVStream Camera 2500 with a new driver, details below. However, when the driver install process runs (tried twice), the install process advises the driver is not supported on the device. As a result faith in DSA to accurately advise of driver updates reduced and more annoyingly keeps advising there's an update which can't be installed. Thanks for listening.

7-Series/C216 USB 3.0 sloooow...
Hi!
I have i5-3570K + 7-Series/C216 chipset board, running Win7/x64. All newest drivers, including Intel USB3 v1.0.10.255.
But my Intel USB 3.0 is too slow: With SanDisk Extreme Go 64GB flash drive, I am taking only 120MB/s read and 40MB/s write speed!
The same flash drive on another computers is working at 200/150MB/s speeds!
Also, my motherboard have VIA USB 3.0 device too, with "UASP Turbo" utility, and in this "Turbo" mode, that flash drive is fast as anywhere else - 210/150.
So, why I cant reach this speed on my Intel USB 3.0 ports?
Is there some "Turbo" utility for Intel too?

Installed Intel(R) Capability Licensing Service Client is obsolete.What do I do?
Hi, I bought a notebook in december. Now in june there was a security warning about TMP. I contacted the retailer and got a link. Followed it and then checked the result with SA00086. It now says the vulnerability is patched, but "Installed Intel(R) Capability Licensing Service Client is obsolete." It´s a CLEVO and MB is N85_87HP6 (U3E1).
I haven´t got a reply from the manufacturer and I don´t know what I am supposed to download. Don´t want to brick my notebook by making a mistake.

Intel chipset driver installer not working.
I just finished building a new pc. When I booted and set up Windows 10, however, I encountered two problems (which I hope are related). My keyboard (a Realforce 87u) runs into a driver error when I plug it in, and in my Device manager, PCI device and SM bus drivers aren't working. I tried using the Chipset Driver Installer as instructed, but the progress bar gets 9/10ths of the way to completion and stops. What should I do?

Intel Chipset Device software failed to install
Several days ago I lost sound on internal speakers of my laptop Asus N551JQ. Technician from the Asus Helpdesk recommended to install update of the Intel Chipset Device software (INF update) version 9.4.0.1027. I've downloaded zip file of that version from the Asus web site. However, installation failed with log: " File copying was not successful. Setup will exit" and show me CSVer.dll file. This file I found in SysWOW64 folder of my system. Inteerstingly, details show this file is from 9.4.0.1027 software version. I deleted this file from the SysWow64 and Windows update kb3126587. But it doesn't helped with the installation.
I tried several times to run setup, unsuccessfully though. I also run it from the Command line (Admin) as
setup.exe -A -S
setup.exe -OVERALL -S
After the reboot I see only readme.txt and license.txt files in the Program files (x86)/Intel/Infinst folder and 2008s4el.cat file in Program files (x86)/Intel/Infinst/Inf folder. Also, I don't see Intel/INFInst software in regedit.
I would appreciate for your suggestion how to install correctly the Intel Chipset Device Software on my PC.
