Series 9 board - USB Problems with Digitial Audio Workstation

I have tried two different manufacturers of the Z97 chipset, Gigabyte Z97 UD7 and MSI Z97 Gaming 7, both have high latency values for USB external audio interfaces.

My old Z68 board had much better performance than this new Series 9.

Is this problem due to the errata listed in the link below?

I'm really disappointed with the results of Series 9, for use with audio workstations.
