Intel RST Email notify does not work

$

Hi,

Intel RST version 14.5.0.1081 on Q57 chipset board.

RAID email notify is enabled and configured.

Email send test works perfect, but when RAID events occurs no mail is send.

I noticed an error on eventviewer application registry that occurs after every IAStorDataMgrSvc regular event:

Event ID 1703 - Eventdata "Missing localized format string"

I don't know if that is related to email sending procedure.

Thanks,

Andrea

Smart Response Technology in Windows 10

My machine (i5 4460 - H97 motherboard) doesn't show the acceleration option in Windows 10 RTM.

I'm using the latest RST 14.5 drivers.

I've read somewhere that Intel doesn't (yet) support SRT in Windows 10. Is that true?

When is Intel planning to implement this feature in their Windows 10 drivers?

Not working: Write back cache, Windows 10 (RAID0)

Hi

I did a clean install of windows 10 pro today, and installed the Intel RSTe Drivers & Software Set v14.5.0.1081 WHQL.

When I try to enable the adapter write back cache mode (disabling the Windows write cache), after a few seconds Windows shows 100% disk usage, becomes super slow and crashes after 10 minutes.

I tried reinstall the drivers, I also tried with older drivers with the same result

Anyone else or is this just me? I have been browsing Google and forums without any solution.

I'm using 2x Intel 520 SSD @ raid0 with my z87 chipset

I have attached a dxdiag for full specs

Intel RST BitLocker eDrive Win10 conflicts

Hi,

I'm trying to use BitLocker eDrive hardware encryption, but Intel RST 14.5.0.1081 is confilicting. I know this because when I uninstall RST, it works, but when it's installed it uses software encryption (BitLocker asks if I want to encrypt whole drive or only used portion)

This problem existed with an older version of RST on Windows 8.1 too and was fixed in version 13.2 (not entirely sure of exact version) but seems to be back.

How do I increase the size of a RAID 10 array

I have a server with a RAID10 array.  It was setup using the Intel Matrix Storage software.  There are (4) 160G Seagate drives configured for a total of 300G.   The current drive has two partitions of 45G and 255G and the 45G partition only has about 7G of free space.  I would like to know the process to increase the size of the array.

Any help would be appreciated.

Intel 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family for Windows 10

Hi,

I'm trying to update a 32 bit computer to Windows 10 from Win 7 Home Premium.

The upgrade process brings up an incompatibility error showing that the Chipset family is not suitable for this upgrade.

In the support / download drivers there are no drivers suitable for anything latter than Win 7.

Is there a work around / new driver suitable or will one be created for this chipset family?

Thanks Rich

RAID 1 Array shows as "Disabled" in Option ROM, after each cold boot.

RAID 1 Array shows as "Disabled" in Option ROM, after each cold boot and Windows 10 fails to boot.

If i press CTRL-I and go into the Option ROM the two disks and their SSD cache all show as green and work fine.

Windows 10 runs with no problems at all and I have no other issues with the machine, now that it is stable my Windows 10 machine works brilliantly.

The RAID 1 with SSD Cache is my D: with a SSD non-RAID disk being my C:.

The only unique setting which could be important I can think of is my C:\Users is a symbolic link to D:\Users.

This fault was not apparent on Windows 7 before the upgrade.

Also this is a fresh Install of Win10.

Intel System Report attached.

Any help would be apreciated.

Regards, Marc.

Need appropriate network driver for Acer Aspire E1-731-4699 win 7 64-bit

Hello,

I don't know what happened to my machine or what I installed, but I haven't been able to get my printer to work.  I ended up buying a new printer thinking it was the printer.  Well, after connecting the printer to another win 7-64 bit hp computer, I know that it is not the printer.

I finally got an error on my Acer that the ethernet controller was not on the machine.  I checked Device Manager and under "Other Device" the Ethernet Controller was not available.  I put an Intel driver on my machine, but it was not the right one.  Now I can't even connect to the internet with my machine.  After hours of investigation, I decided to just reinstall windows on my machine.  The win7/64 bit installation disk ran for a couple of minutes and then gave me the message that I should cancel the install and update my drivers.

System device - Intel Management Engine Interface

System device - Intel 7 series/C216 Chipset Family SMBUS Host Controller 1E22

By now, I'm a little shy to update with the wrong drivers, so I am wondering if someone could point me to exactly what I need.  My problem in under Device Manager->Other device

Thank you,

Lynn

Possible to create raid array without wiping?

Is it possible to create a RAID array without wiping the data off the drives? From what I've found via google the older version had an option to keep data. The newer versions seem to be lacking this option.

Intel RST installation incorrectly sets hard drive media type Windows 8.1 Pro x64

$

Hope someone can help me here.

After a fresh install of Windows 8.1 Pro my media type is correctly set under the analyse and optimise function. This is using the in box drivers of Windows 8.1. When I install the latest RST and update the RAID drivers, the media type changes to SSD which is incorrect. The analyse and optimise buttons are now greyed out and I can no longer defrag the hard drives.

I have taken many steps to try and correct this issue but still no luck. The BIOS is set to UEFI and it correctly identifies the HDD. I have also used the F6 driver installation of the latest RAID driver during the Windows install. Media type is still set to SSD.

Intel RST status correctly states that SATA HDD are connected. So is it a Windows problem?

Very frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

Surely Im not the only person in the world with this problem.

Kind Regards

No HDD sleep with Intel Rapid Storage 14.6.0.1029

Hello!

I´m using a ASUS Sabertooth Z87 after updating to Windows 10 (clean install) everything was working ok.

My normal HDDs went to sleep after the set amount of time under energy settings then I installed some Intel driver (LAN,chipset,IMEI,IRST).

It seems that the SATA AHCI controller driver installed by IRST doesn´t allow HDD sleep anymore.

The only way to get it working again is using the Win10 stock SATA driver and removing IRST.

Is there a working driver, a workaround for this problem or do I have to wait for Intel fixing that problem.

with best regards,

Chris

Eu posso usar um único SSD para dois RAIDs diferentes?/I can use a single SSD for two different RAIDs?

Estarei explicando em português e logo ao fim em inglês traduzido pelo Google Tradutor.

I will be explaininginPortugueseandin Englishas early astranslated byGoogle Translate.

English:

I wonder if it would be possible to use, for example, a single 128GB SSD and partition between equally in 64GB partition and then use each partition for each of RAIDs.

Reading the information from the "Help" Intel Rapid Storage Technology found this information, but still does not guarantee me sure, then ask here if anyone would know if he could say what I want to do.

Information:

"■    Automatically Configure a second volume in the cache device that can be used as a volume of available data by the user. Do this if the solid state drive used as cache device is larger than 64GB or if you choose to use less than the total capacity of the solid state drive to the cache volume."
"3. Select the portion of the solid state drive you want to use to store non-volatile cache memory. The size of the custom cache volume can not be less than 14.9 GB or greater than the disk capacity up to 64 GB. The size introduced has to be a numeric value and can include a decimal. Any remaining space on the solid state drive can be used for data storage using RAID 0 volume single disk simple data that is created automatically."

The information is only underlined for emphasis and bold are the information that is driving me questions, so I'm describing down my doubts:

  • "a second volume" and "volume of available data by user":
    • It would be a second partition, where I could move and remove data as if it were any other storage unit available?
  • "may be used for data storage using RAID 0 volume single disk simple data that is created automatically":
    • Simply did not understand what he meant. What is "RAID 0 for single disk simple data"?
    • Happened to my first question was correct according to that described then it would mean that the second partition would be a partition 'pretending' to be a RAID 0?
    • But then what would be "simple data"?
    • It would be some kind of restriction reading / writing or anything that might interfere with this?

These are some of my doubts and I believe that is enough so that they can answer me if they have already had contact with this type of doubt and if they need more information will be available.

hard driver detection problem and Rapid Storage Technology (RST) driver installation

Respectfully, I have Fujitsu ESPRIMO E7936 computer and recently I upgraded to Window 10 Pro, and then, I have faced a problem in this sense that at the moment of turning my computer on. the Phoenix bios menu can not detects the hardware; first the Phoenix bios menu shows a window over to choose F 2  or F 12 and then a window tells"initializing" and then the the window 10 start working, the above process takes 45-60 seconds, it is told that Installing" Rapid Storage Technology (RST) driver" can fix my problem, but I do not know which downloads options of the following link I must choose in order to fix my problem, please could you help me please?

My Processor is Inte(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU, thanking you.

Asus z9pe-d8 WS SATA/SCU raid 5 failed after upgrade to WIN 10 pro from win7. Currently showing 3 of 4 member disks, and one non-member, but unable to rebuild raid whether intel bios or IRSTe. Most but not all backed up, may lose a terabyte or two (4x4tb

Have pulled drives from sas/sata/scu port and moved to the 6 sata ports available, with intel raid still enabled in bios. Still showing array as raid, and bios shows 3 member hdd and the last non-member.  However unable to rebuild raid array whether in intel bios utility or win IRSTe. Have reverted back to older ASUS version for 8.1 of (IRSTe). Still no dice. Deleted volume, tried rebuilding raid 5 array keeping data in those 4 hdd's, but apparently need to change volume size (on keeping data option within IRSTe software for each hdd, get not enough cache error, need to reduce by 5 MB or something). Has anyone else been through this nightmare? Have a lot but not all backed up online, may still lose a lot of files (1 tb`?). Purchased 2 extra WD 4TB red NAS drives but no luck rebuilding, doesn't show up as option in option rom bios.

Went from 3! offline HDD's to 1 now (migration?), but array still shows as failed. Tried at first newer IRSTe drivers before reverting to ASUS win 8 drivers, then finally moving all drives (including 2 newer drives) from SAS/SATA/SCU (4 ports on my mobo) to the six available sata ports with intel controller (still show up on intel bios). Note after numerous bios resets (including removal of cmos battery on mobo).

Intel Management Engine Component won't install, just asks me to reboot my PC

I am trying to install the last driver for my ASUS Z87-WS motherboard which is Intel Management Engine Component driver.

I click on the setup file and it starts to load the install, but then stops with a pop up window:

Intel Management Engine Component

Please reboot your system to complete the install/uninstall process that was previously started before proceeding

I have rebooted the PC many times, but still the same. I have also gone into regedit to clear any pending file renames but still no luck.

Does anyone know how to bypass this reboot request?

Many thanks.
