Historically when there have been newer versions of chipset drivers available I found out that the setup.exe would not update the existing drivers. So to update the drivers on my various systems I would get the latest drivers as a zip file and extract them; then I would open Windows device manager and go to each Intel device and right click and select update then browse to the extracted All directory and allow Windows to install the latest driver from there.
Now I see that version 10 of the Intel chipset drivers have been released and I had downloaded and installed it on a new system I just built but I noticed after looking at the various Intel hardware that any number of devices are still using the Microsoft driver rather than the Intel driver. I looked for a zip version of the version 10 chipset drivers but the zip version just seems to contain the exe setup and not a zipped version of the drivers like all the previous versions. I even tried to use winrar to extract files contained in the exe setup file but all I get is a slew of u0,u1, u2, u3 etc files which are of no use.
So how do I get the version 10 drivers to update all existing Intel hardware or where can I get the version 10 drivers as a zip file i.e. inf and cat files like previous versions so I can manually update my systems?
