I'm having problems similar to the Sandy Bridge issue where my cd/dvd drive is not recognized on boot and is not listed in the device manager. Is it possible this chipset has an issue as well?

I have tried numerous fixes including uninstall and reinstall I-tunes, update gear driver, have latest bios. Sometimes they work, most of time they do not.
Sent laptop in for hardware service and Toshiba sent it back after reloading windows which I had already done once. Drive will work for maybe a week then suddenly stop for no apparent reason. This causes a very long boot/resume cycles not to mention I have an unusable cd/dvd player.
