Hi, I got an issue with a Dell Latitude E5440 using Intel Lynx Point-LP and it's USB3 ports when connecting to external enclosures which use the ARM MB86C301B chip (did not find more info from examining the board).
Using the latest laptop bios and latest Intel USB3 driver, Windows 7 64 bit.
Tested: Copy a file to external hard drive with ARM MB86C301B using USB3 ports
Result: Copy fails, copy starts and almost reaches the end but then it never finishes, drive is then not visible in Windows Storage Manager. New programs cannot be launched
Tested: Copy a file to external hard drive with ARM MB86C301B using USB2 port
Result: Works
Tested: Copy a file to external hard drive with ARM MB86C301B using USB3 ports on another computer running Win 7 64 bit, previous gen Intel CPU
Result: Works
This leads me to believe there is an incompatibility issue with this chipset and current drivers or firmware on my E5440. Any suggestions for debugging, bug report, possible fix?
