Intel SRT Issues

Hi,

I am about pulling my hair out trying to get Intel RST setup on my Dell laptop, I have tried lots of things and hope some experts on these forums can shine some light on it!

The issue I am having is that no matter what I do I cannot get the accelerate tab to show up on the Intel Rapid Storage Solution software, without this tab there is no way to use the SSD as cache for the main system HDD.

The system specifications are as followed:

Dell 14Z Ultrabook 5423

Intel Core i7 3537U 2Ghz

8GB RAM

500GB SATA2 HDD

32GB mSATA SSD

Windows 8.1

Intel RST Version 12.8.0.1016

I know this laptop is capable of SRT as I have had it working before, however after reinstalling the operating system no matter what I do I cannot get the accelerate tab to show up on RST.

The BIOS made is set to Intel Smart Response mode, during Windows install I load the latest x64 drivers from Intel and install Windows on the HDD.

As part of troubleshooting I have tried reinstalling several times, tried different versions of the RST software, tried running the "clean" command using DiskPart as I read that it may be an issue with metadata still being present on the SSD however none of these are making a difference.

I have been at this for about three days now and tried everything I can find online and still cannot get the accelerate tab to show up. I have also tried reinstalling Windows 8 and also Windows 7 to test if the OS was the issue however all OS versions I am trying show the same issue.

This is what my Intel RST Window looks like right now:

As shown above the accelerate tab is completely missing.

I would love for any input into this as it is driving me up the wall, resolutions that mean reinstalling the operating system does not matter as there is nothing on the laptop just now anyway and I am happy to try anything to get this working!

Below is my system report:
