My new Windows 7 system never sleeps. If I manually put it to sleep, it will go to sleep but then immediately reawakens.
Using powercfg -lastwake tells me that it is the Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller that is waking the system.
I have confirmed that I have updated to the latest bios (0601) for my motherboard (ASUS H81M-K) and that I have the latest driver for the Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller (2.5.0.19).
I have tried disabling wake timers in Windows Advanced Power Settings, as well as using powercfg -devicequery wake_armed to list, and then powercfg -devicedisablewake to disable waking by all items configured to wake the computer from sleep. Neither helped.
The article, A computer that is running Windows 7 appears to sleep, but then it immediately wakes from Microsoft suggests to click the Power Management tab of the device in Device Manager and disable the Allow this device to wake the computer checkbox. Unfortunately, the Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller does not have a Power Management tab.
I would appreciate any assistance in getting my system to a state where it can sleep normally without being awakened by the Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller.
