My setup:
OS SSD: SanDisk SD8SNAT128G1122 (M.2 2280 over SATA-III)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B150-HD3P
Motherboard chipset: Intel Sunrise Point B150, Intel Skylake-S
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz
RAM: 16GB DDR4-2133
some normal hard drives
BIOS Typ: AMI (03/07/2016)
Bios version: F3
Win10 Pro x64
My problem(s):
1. when powering up after beeing disconnected from power it always fails for atleast the first time resulting in a touring up of fans and HDD's for 2-3sec, then shuting down and powering up again after 2-3secs. After this phase the SSD usually has disappeared from bios menu, so the system cannot start up. The power has to be unplugged and plugged in again in order to see the SSD again in bios. After selecting it, the system starts normally. But the behavior might be related to the second problem.
2. I keep getting event id 129 iaStorA - Reset to device "\Device\RaidPort0" was issued. Browsers and streams freeze for about 30sec (games do not). This has been much more frequent after upgrading from win7 to win10. It did happen right after bootup and up to 3 times an hour, which can be very annoying.
Things I have already tried:
- replacing mainboard battery
- updating bios
- updating/reinstalling intel drivers
- set AHCI link power management to HIPM in energy options
- set some parameters in registry like in Event ID 129 – storachi – Reset to device, DeviceRaidPort0, was issued. – Kevin Holman's System Center Blog and NXHut - IT and Windows - News: Storahci, ID 129, Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued - fix for Windows 10 Tec…
still the event keeps coming ...
Maybe I should mention that it persists now for more than half a year. Maybe anyone has another idea here, especially on the connection to the first problem.
Regards,
Carlo
