Hi, hope someone can help a newbie please?
I have an Asus P5Q Deluxe motherboard and been having problems with some Windows 7 (64 bit) functionality, esp. with Windows Update, since installing a new Crucial BX200 SSD.
I found this discussion (amongst others) which suggests my raid controller driver needs updating to resolve the issue.

Device manager:
Intel(R) ICH8R/ICH9R/ICH10R/DO/PCH SATA RAID Controller
Driver = 8.9.0.1023 4/6/2009
1) A comment in the above post concerned me - "As long as you're using RAID and not AHCI, you can try the latest (11.7.0.1013) from this link" - but doesn't an SSD need AHCI?
2) Can anyone suggest which is the best driver I can safely install for my antique mobo please?
