Building a new system / Windows 10 64-bit:
MSI Z170A XPower Gaming Titanium Edition
Intel Core i5-6600K 6M Skylake Quad-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 1151 91W BX80662I56600K Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 530
G.SKILL Aegis 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) Intel Z170 Platform / F4-2400C15Q-64GIS
SAMSUNG 950 PRO M.2 512GB PCI-Express 3.0 x4 Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V5P512BW
WD Red 6TB NAS Hard Disk Drive - 5400 RPM Class SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD60EFRX | 4x
Steps:
[1.] Created 2x RAID-1 arrays with 4x WD Red 6 TB HDs in MSI BIOS
[2.] Installed Intel Rapid Storage Technology 14.8.0.1042 in Windows, renamed arrays
[3.] IRST found arrays, reported fine
[4.] Some minutes later: IRST reported arrays as INCOMPATIBLE, Type UNKNOWN
[5.] Some minutes later: IRST CTOD w/out further error
If I restart PC, steps [3.] through [5.] play out again in about 10x minutes. Arrays are initially reported OK, then as UNKNOWN, then IRST crashes.
Reinstalling IRST = no improvement.
