We are installing Win7 SP1 x64 on a Flex 3 1580 using a USB drive. The machine has the latest BIOS installed.
The machine boots from USB and enters the install procedure, however when install begins, it displays the following message:
"A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing" Install then asks for additional drivers. The vendor only has driver updates for machines with Win7 already installed, and has nothing posted on their website.
We have downloaded the f6flpy-x64 drivers from the Intel, however even though they display as compatible, when they attempt to load, fail with the following message:
"The [Intel(R) 6th Genereation Core Processor Family Platform I/O SATA AHCI Controller (C:\SATA drivers Flex3\iaAHIC.inf)] device driver could not be installed. Contact your vendor for an updated driver."
FWIW driver "RST_Win7_8.1_10_14.6.0.1029" fails with the same message.
Can anyone direct me to the proper pre-install drivers?
