Running disk diagnostics on RAID 0 disks

I have a Dell with an Intel ICH8R controller with two Western Digital drives in a RAID 0 configuration.

The controller firmware is v6.0.0.1022.

I have recently experienced crashes with a large number of Event Log entries "Event ID: 51, An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk0\DR0 during a paging operation."

I would like to run Western Digital diagnostics against these drives.

How can I do this when the drives appear as a RAID volume?

How can I do this without risking my volume contents (it is my boot drive)?
