Intel IMEI (Management Engine Interface) and Windows 10

Since upgrading to Windows 10, there have been numerous laptops and notebooks rendered with issues shutting down, going to sleep and hibernating (this includes me).

A solution was found, which was to downgrade from Intel Management Engine Interface to version 9.5 or below, this has fixed the issue for me, and many other users, but I'm now concerned about running vastly out of date software, and have been for a few months.

When will Intel be fixing this problem and updating the software? The latest version of IMEI was back in August.
