Installing Chipset Drivers After Image Restore To Different Motherboard

I wish to transfer an image of my existing system (D975XBX2) to a new system (DZ77BH-55K) without having to reinstall Win7.

I used a product called Acronis True Image Home w/ Plus Pack and invoked the 'Universal Restore' (hardware independent) feature.

The transfer was successful (Win7 boots successfully and installs various drivers).

The next step is to run the Intel Express Installer (IEI) to install drivers.

After this program starts, it indicates that the Chipset Device Software is already installed, but I ran it anyway and it indicates a successful install. However...

The Win7 Device Manager shows no driver installed for the SM Bus Controller (SMBC). After installing the remaining drivers from the IEI, the SMBC driver is the only one still missing.

I understand that the SMBC driver is normally installed as part of the Chipset package, but I am trying to avoid a clean Win7 install.

Any thoughts on how to resolve this issue?
