My USB 3.0 ports are acting as USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 devices are not recognized on my Dell Latitude E6530. I have several USB 3.0 devices that I know work fine. When trying to install the latest USB 3.0 Driver: Intel® USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver for Intel® 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family, I get an error pop up stating that "The setup program failed to install one or more devices drivers. Setup will exit" The downloaded drivers used were sourced from the Intel Download Center.....downloadcenter.intel.com/download/21129}. See Below and attachement.
I have had this problem (USB 3.0 ports not working) since installing another a new (used) motherboard into my laptop. Laptop specs below. From the displayed installation log, see attachment, it appears that both the USB 3.0 Root Hub and USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Drivers install, however the PCI bus driver does not. I have re-installed all the latest Dell chipset drivers again with the exception of the USB 3.0 Driver: Intel® USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver which I believe is the latest driver that fixes problems similar to mine. I have read many posts that lead me to this Dell Community post: .....en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/t/19495641 which ultimately points to installing the USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver directly from the Intel download center as mentioned above.
All other devices working perfectly on this Laptop.
I have exhausted all my resources to a point were I believe I may have a motherboard problem. Does anyone have any suggestions or answers to my predicament?
