Hello,
I'm trying to get the Windows Kernel Debugger (Windbg) to connect to my Lenovo Yoga 3 laptop
using a USB 3.0 debugging cable (Type A to Type A). The Yoga 3 has a Broadwell processor
and chipset. The chipset claims to have Dbc support when viewed with the Microsoft
Usbview utility.
However, when I enable kernel debugging in the Yoga 3, I get an Enumeration Error.
No matter how many times I reconnect the cable, I continue to get an Enumeration Error on my
host system.
I've also tried to connect to a Haswell-EP motherboard (with Dbc support) and I get the same
problem. Is there something that I am missing here?
I have been successful in connecting WindDbg to a Renesas uPD720202 USB 3.0 controller
and a Via Labs VL806 USB 3.0 controller. So, I am pretty confident that my Host and my
USB 3.0 debugging cable are good. I just can't get the Intel chipsets to work.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Stephen
