FPGA in spark under the cluster computiong

Currently, we are focusing on the calculation of Big Data distribution. Considering the adventage of FPGA card, the efficiency of parrallel compution and energy conservation, we are targeting at applying FPGA card in spark under the cluster computiong. However, opencl is temporarily short for the JAVA interface, or the function supporting JAVA or Scala, which results in the failure of data trasmission betwee the host and the device, and the failure of invoking the FPGA. We are looking forward to having your technological supports, developing FPGA’s strong computing capability. Thanks.

Does Intel have a standard set of documents about the Secure Key feature and the RDSEED instruction that can be submitted as part of a FIPS-140-2 validation? We have been asked to provide a theory of operation, block diagram and an entropy assessment.

HDD click (excessive load-unload cycles)

$

Two of my HDDs are clicking and have an excessive load-unload cycles.

I'm running 2x Samsung F3 1TB (HD103SJ) in RAID-0 using Z97 chipset Sata 3 ports.

My MB is a ASRock Z97 Extreme6, HDDs firmware is 1AJ10001. MB Bios is P1.33.

I had 13.1.0.1058 RST driver and installed 12.9.2.1000 but the issue persisted.

I have Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit running on a Samsung 830 Series 256GB SSD, I also have two more HDDs, one Seagate 3TB and one Toshiba 160GB... No issues with these drives.

On my previous setup I was using these HDDs on a X58 chipset Sata 2 ports, also in RAID-0 mode, Intel RST 11 and got no issues.

I think the drives are going idle too fast, because when I need to open or seek for something on the drive, the click starts.

I don't know if this is a BIOS problem or a Intel RST problem, I don't know for sure, but when the computer starts, during post I can hear the click (only once, if I go to UEFI there is no click there and the drive is detected by BIOS).

I tried some troubleshoots, configured (advanced power management, automatic acoustic management, sata aggressive link power management, windows power management) but nothing worked : (

I'm kinda desperate because I have one "click" each 10 seconds (approximately), it means 3600 load-unload cycles in 10 hours!

For now I made the disks off-line through Windows disk management, until I figure out some solution/workaround.

I appreciate any help you can give!

UPDATE!

The problem was solved by installing Intel RST 12 series drivers, power off, disconnect the PSU cable, connect the affected hard drives on another Z97 Sata port and power on the computer.

If I install Intel RST 13 series driver the issue will return, is this a bug with RST 13 series? I don't think my HDD spending one load/unload cycle each 10 seconds is normal.

Hello

Tested with different disks and with all versions between 14.0 and 15.2 : the bug is attested. The spin-down function was OK in 13.6.

Do you know why this bug hasn't been solved within more than 19 lonnnnnnnnnnng month ????!!!

Yet it has been reported long time ago !

New RST 14.0.0.1143 doesn't allow HDDs to spin down (bug?)

Thank you

usb 3.0 driver causes BSOD: only when system is bootable from external HD USB

I'm using external system on laptop latitude e5450 with Windows Pro 64 bit by USB port (it is working).

After install drivers to USB 3.0 "Chipset_Driver_TTGK8_WN_3.0.0.34_A00" I got BSOD.

When this disk is connected by sata: no BSOD.

It is possible to use USB 3.0 on external system bootable via USB in Dell Latitude E5450 ?

(Configuration:

- main systems on internal disk, I cannot modify it

- second system on external disk via USB - working without drivers USB 3.0 -> very slow transfer to/from external HD)

Matrix Storage Manager- Win 10 update - driver failed to load

Hi

I have just updated from windows 7 to 10 ( beginning to wish I had not)

My storage controller is Intel(R) Desktop/Workstation/Server Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller

My Processors are 2 x  Intel(R) Core(TM)2cpu 6300 @ 1.86GHz

My Disk Drives are indicated in Device Manager as Intel Raid 1 Volume

The Raid Volume has operated perfectly well as a Raid level 1 mirror until update

At Boot the Raid indicates status as Verify

When I try to start up the Intel Matrix Storage Manager Consul I get the error message-

'Raid plug-in failed to load because the driver is not installed correctly'

I have tried to update drivers via device manager to be advised driver is up to date

I have tried to update drivers automatically via the Intel Download Centre but this fails to detect any drivers

I have downloaded f6flpy-x86.zip from the Intel Download Centre but am not certain this is appropriate for the Matrix Storage controller

but if it is I do not know how to install it.

Please can some one advise me - how can I resolve?

Thank you

Chipset Driver install reset after restart

Hello,

i got some bluescreens with new ssd, so i tried for figure out what caused them.

One suspect is, that i dont have the current chipset driver.

Win10 64bit

CPU: i5 4670k

Motherboard: MSI Z87-G43

The Intel Driver Update Utility 2.6 shows:

My installed Version is 10.0.14393.594

The Current Version is 10.1.1.14

On the MSI driver site the current version is 10.1.1.38.

The MSI Live Update Software shows no updates.

Since msi is not answering i try to ask here.

My Problem is that i cant install any newer chipset driver. I tried to install it with the intel update software and with the .exe and the .exe from the msi site.

Nothing worked. The installation is successful without error, but after the restart it is on the old Version.

Any suggestions?
