Intel 100 series/C230 series Chipset PMC - A121 driver problem.

Chipset driver general tab  states No drivers are installed for this device. Resource tab states This device isn't using any resources because it has a problem. System is a Lenovo ThinkCentre M900 Tower 10FD-003RUS with Intel i7-6700 CPU 3.4Ghz up to 4.0 Ghz, 4 cores, 8 threads, 8MB cache. 16GB of RAM. MicroStar video card with Nvidia Geforce GT720  PCIe w/1GB video memory. Windows 10 Pro 64bit OS.. There is no exclamation or question mark in front of this driver listed in system devices. The currently installed driver is provided by Intel, Date 7/14/15 Version: 10.1.1.9.  I attempted to update driver using driver update under driver tab. Driver was found on internet and it upgraded the driver to Intel, 10/28/15, version: 10.1.1.13 but this did not correct the issue. I rolled back the driver. I ran Intel driver update utility 2.6 and it did not find any drivers. I deleted the driver then restarted the PC. PC re-installed driver but did not fix the issue. I even tried restoring the drive back to factory but same problem. No other programs are installed on the PC other then the factory installed programs. I did windows update and windows is current.

I have 5 of these PCs. They are brand new out of the box with the same problem with the Intel 100 series/C230 series chipset PMC - A121 driver. The currently installed 10.1.1.9 driver is the factory installed driver. PC boots OK and I don't seem to have any issues with PC other then the Resources error I stated above. None of the other drivers listed in device manager have any errors.  Lenovo was no help.

I checked Lenovo site for current chipset drivers. What I have installed is their current Intel Skylake chipset driver 10.1.1.9 which is listed for this Lenovo PC.

I have included several print screen shots for this driver..

What is this driver for? How can I fix this issue? Any help  would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Al

Intel RST installation incorrectly sets hard drive media type Windows 8.1 Pro x64

Hope someone can help me here.

After a fresh install of Windows 8.1 Pro my media type is correctly set under the analyse and optimise function. This is using the in box drivers of Windows 8.1. When I install the latest RST and update the RAID drivers, the media type changes to SSD which is incorrect. The analyse and optimise buttons are now greyed out and I can no longer defrag the hard drives.

I have taken many steps to try and correct this issue but still no luck. The BIOS is set to UEFI and it correctly identifies the HDD. I have also used the F6 driver installation of the latest RAID driver during the Windows install. Media type is still set to SSD.

Intel RST status correctly states that SATA HDD are connected. So is it a Windows problem?

Very frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

Surely Im not the only person in the world with this problem.

Kind Regards

Hola, buenas tardes.

I'm using external system on laptop latitude e5450 with Windows Pro 64 bit by USB port (it is working).

After install drivers to USB 3.0 "Chipset_Driver_TTGK8_WN_3.0.0.34_A00" I got BSOD.

When this disk is connected by sata: no BSOD.

It is possible to use USB 3.0 on external system bootable via USB in Dell Latitude E5450 ?

(Configuration:

- main systems on internal disk, I cannot modify it

- second system on external disk via USB - working without drivers USB 3.0 -> very slow transfer to/from external HD)

I had to download the Intel INF update chipset but it keeps failing and I cant play Minecraft! I just upgraded from windows7 to 10. MY pc is 64 bit and x64 proccessor. It has 5 RAM. Please help me.

Hello!

1. Does those Intel chipsets have AMT? Does they support KVM-VNC?

a) Intel G45 (Intel P45/P43 rev. A3 + Intel 82801JR (ICH10R) rev. 00)

b) Intel Z68 (Intel Sandy Bridge rev. 09 + Intel Z68 rev. B3)

c) Intel H170 (Intel Skylake rev. 07 + Intel Skylake PCH rev. 31)

2. Does Intel have list of all chipsets that provides preboot text console via KVM-VNC?

Intel ICH9 USB Enhanced Controller 2934-2939 Drivers?

so recently my laptop USB ports became non working. anything I plugged into my laptop usb ports (all three of them) wouldn't work.

I did some googling and found a supposed fix. someone claimed that if I went into device manager and checked my USB Controllers for errors I could uninstall and then reinstall them. I tried that it didn't work every time I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them the second I plug something into the USB ports they would fail again and register an error 43

I did some more looking around and found out the drivers I have are from all the way back in 2003 I downloaded the official Intell driver support software and low and behold. no USB drivers.

does any one know if I can fix this problem or download proper drivers from somewhere?

(also before anyone suggests restore my pc I cant do that all my restore points are after the issue started.)

Hi all,

I have a problem with iastora.sys like many other i read already.

So my problem is following Dump:

crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\121616-16500-01.dmp

This was probably caused by the following module: iastora.sys (0xFFFFF8018D4EFB52)

Bugcheck code: 0xD1 (0xFFFFE001F1D0BA50, 0x2, 0x0, 0xFFFFF8018D4EFB52)

Error: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

or:

crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\010517-17171-01.dmp

This was probably caused by the following module: iastora.sys (0xFFFFF8000CD0AB52)

Bugcheck code: 0xD1 (0xFFFFDFFDA52017D8, 0x2, 0x0, 0xFFFFF8000CD0AB52)

Error: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

I already change RAM, Motherboard, CPU, PowerSuply, and two harddisk (Seagate).

System:

Windows Server 2012 R2 Essential

Board: SuperMicro X11SSM-0

CPU: Intel E3 1230v5 and E3 1245v5

Ram: 2x 8GB Samsung DDR4 ECC (in order of tested RAM of Supermicro)

harddisk: 2x Samsung 850Pro  512Gb in RAID 1 / 4x Seagate Constellation 2TB in Raid 5

Now i have nearly two Server staying, where nobody iss working.

Any Idea?

Intel® Rapid-Storage-Technic Enterprise (Intel® RSTe) Version: Driver 4.3.0.1198

Excuse me for my bad English

Anyone an idea??

Intel Celeron J3160 - Chipset driver

Hi,

I own a mini-pc from ASRock (ASRock Beebox J3160 Barebone): Beebox Series - ASRock Inc.

It has the Intel Celeron J3160.

ASRock provides the INF 10.1.1.12 (Beebox Series - ASRock Inc.). Is there a newer one available from Intel?

Also, I would like to use a better AHCI driver, then the one provided by Windows 10 (Standard SATA AHCI Controller, version: 10.0.14393.206, date: 21.06.2006).

Where at Intel to finde a newer one? I use a fast SSD, so want to have the best possible AHCI driver.

What about the Trusted Execution Enginie (TXE, version: 2.0.0.1094), is that necessary to install as well? What for is that, and is there a newer version?

Cheers

Issue/bug between Intel RST in RAID mode and an optical drive

Guys,

I wonder if you would be interested in investigating an issue I had between Intel RST in RAID mode and an optical drive.

I eventually made it worked but in such a odd way that I still want to investigate it further and go to the bottom of this issue so Intel can fix what's really looks like a bug in RST.

So here is the thing.

I have an ASRock Q170m vPro mobo:

ASRock > Q170M vPro

built around 'SkyLake' Q170 chipset.

I have a 4 x 500 MB SSD in RAID 0 using the legacy INTEL RAID rom option (not UEFI) because it is < 2 TB

I have WIndows 10 Pro x64 recently re-installed from scratch with latest RST driver from Intel download (I provided the driver during installation à la 'F6'): Version: 15.2.0.1020 (Latest) Date: 10/20/2016

So far so good.

In order to enjoy Blu Ray 3D I had NO choice but to buy an optical drive, and I got a PANASONIC/MATSHITA BD-MLT UJ265.

Although the drive was perfectly recognized by the BIOS and then Windows 10, as soon as I insert a data media, and click on it in Windows Explorer, the drive disappears and Windows is telling me that it has been unplugged.

I tried many times, and each time the drive vanishes with no recovery option than reboot.

Googling on internet, I found this on Microsoft

Windows 10 Driver for MATSHITA BD-MLT UJ265 USB Device - Microsoft Community

the last comment on page 2 says:

"Had the same issue with my custom build htpc. I'VE SOLVED THIS BY ENABLING HOT PLUG FUNCTIONNALITY FOR THE SATA-PORT WHERE where the dvd-rom was attached to. Afterwards the device was working properly :).

In my case, there weren't any UpperFilter or LowerFilter values set.

Cheers,Tom"

And I confirm it is also working perfectly for me right now.

So on one hand:

a configuration that does NOT work when Hot Plug is NOT enabled on the specific SATA Port used by the optical drive)

and on the other hand:

a configuration that DOES WORK (when Hot Plug IS ENABLED on the specific SATA Port used by the optical drive)

because other threads on internet confirmed that this situation only occurs when an Optical Drive is used with Intel RST RAID mode, would it be possible for Intel to investigate what is the differences and consequences (in the code, configuration, behavior, ...) that could explain this situation ?

because honestly I found odd to be forced to set an internal optical drive as 'hot plug' capable to make it fully work under windows.

What do you think ?

Please advise and Happy/Healthy New Year to all of you.

Hassan
